Smart Advice is all about my passion to help import and export companies to succeed in their business.
I have been fortunate to meet with numerous companies in Finland and abroad and to hear their amazing success stories. I greatly admire their courage and hard work which is needed in the field of international business.
I started in the logistics industry year 1997 after my Business College studies. I continued my studies while working part time. After graduating year 2000 I started working full time.
I have done import and export, different kind of customer projects, I have bought and I have sell transportations, but most importantly, I have listened customer needs and wishes and I have solved different kind of transportation challenges.
My specialty is North America. It is a market that interests a lot of European countries, but very often it is considered quite challenging, also concerning logistics. Distances are long, from other continents as well as in inland. Brokerage, bureaucracy, documents, rules and regulations are not necessarily considered easy even by experienced logistics experts.
But no-one needs to know everything, many times question has been raised and answered before.
During all these interesting years, we have done a lot together with the customers.
We have found the most optimal route and way to transport objects size of small houses as well as small as cosmetics.
We have built warehousing concepts to cut delivery times and free trade zones to serve Latin America.
We have learned about brokerage and documents.
We have learned by experience and sometimes by mistakes, but first and foremost, we have succeeded.
